Razija Mujanović becomes member of FIBA's Women's Basketball Committee

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Razija Mujanović, legendary BiH basketball player, has officially become a member of the FIBA Women's Basketball Committee. Mujanović has been a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame since 2017, and she was nominated for this position by the Basketball Association, led by President Mirza Teletović, who stated that it was the only logical decision.

"Razija Mujanović has left her mark on basketball with her name and surname, and it is entirely logical that we nominate such a person, who is also known throughout Europe and the world, to the Women's Basketball Committee. Razija's experience will also help European basketball, and it is an honor for us that she will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Mirza Teletović, who had also nominated Samir Avdić for one of the FIBA committees earlier, but his candidacy unfortunately did not pass.

Mujanović will be one of the 14 members of the commission responsible for women's basketball on the Old Continent, and she was elected unanimously.

"Good news has arrived from Geneva. At the proposal of the Basketball Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President Mirza Teletović, I have been accepted into the FIBA Women's Basketball Commission. I am proud to be the voice of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the headquarters of basketball and that my election will enable us to accelerate the development of basketball in our country. I would like to take this opportunity to thank President Teletović and Secretary Čolan, as well as all of you who have believed in me and who continuously support me," said Razija Mujanović, who has been serving as the director of all women's national team selections in the BiH Basketball Association for some time.
