Tensions rise in the "Trojka": Magoda - The Ministry of Justice has set a precedent

(Patria) - Tensions are rising in the "Trojka" in Sarajevo Canton, especially after the Minister of Justice Darija Softić Kadenić (NS) refused to issue a decision for holding an extraordinary session of the Sarajevo Canton Football Association.

Kenan Magoda (SDP), Minister of Sports and Culture in KS, addressed the public on Facebook, explaining the situation.

"I want to inform the public about the unacceptable and legally unfounded actions of the Ministry of Justice of Sarajevo Canton, which refused to issue a decision for holding an extraordinary session of the Football Association of Sarajevo Canton, even though the Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS, which is legally responsible for overseeing sports organizations, had previously given a positive opinion necessary for issuing the decision.

Such a decision has not yet been officially made, but everything is being done with the aim of buying time, so that "phantom associations," which KUIP ordered to be deleted from the statute, can carry out the electoral process and continue to provide support to representatives of Republika Srpska.

The Ministry of Justice has set a precedent by asking the Government of Sarajevo Canton to declare itself on this process, which has never happened before in the history of the Government of Sarajevo Canton. The KS Government voted YES for the Ministry of Justice of KS to continue the registration process in the court register of new, newly elected individuals, in accordance with the positive opinion of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS. This is a blatant example of legal violence that directly threatens fundamental rights and freedoms, and the democratic majority of Sarajevo football clubs is being suppressed.

In the end, instead of advocating for democratic values and the interests of Sarajevo clubs that are seeking fundamental changes, we are witnessing behavior that is contrary to these principles.

Instead of clearly taking the side of justice, the Minister of Justice held informal meetings with Almir Badnjević (Our Party) and Vico Zeljković, while Sarajevo clubs were left without support in their justified demands for change. There are other names, but we will discuss them later…", wrote Magoda.
