Ramić wrote to Crnadak: The flag with lilies is not a war flag, but the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) -  The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in technical mandate Igor Crnadak sent a letter to UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin regarding photographs that appeared in the media, which clearly show the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Europa League winner's trophy.

After that letter, the head of Bosnia's diplomacy was addressed in an open letter by the director of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada, Edin Ramić.

"Mr. Crnadak, it is not disputed which is the current, unfortunately imposed state flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but your undiplomatic attitude towards the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its history, tradition and culture is disputed. The flag with lilies was the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. That is not and cannot be disputed at all, but for many reasons your presentation of untruths about that flag is disputed," Ramić's letter states.

Ramić adds that the flag with lilies does not symbolize only one people, but only one state, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"That is not a war flag, but was the official flag of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an internationally recognized country that flew in front of the United Nations headquarters from 1992 to 1998. That flag of the medieval Kingdom of Bosnia is in the hearts of all Bosnian-Herzegovinian patriots and can only be a problem for those who are bothered by the existence of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr. Crnadak, there was no civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but aggression and genocide. The real question is why are you bothered by the lilies as a centuries-old symbol of Bosnian statehood, and precisely at this moment?" Ramić asked in the open letter.

He adds that "the criminalization of the flag with lilies and its placement in the context of rewriting historical facts about the centuries-old statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the revision of judicial facts about the aggression and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina is an integral part of the lobbying campaign of the anti-Bosnian coalition that operates strongly in the homeland and diaspora."

"Your earlier denial of the Bosnian language and your current presentation of untruths about the flag with lilies and the character of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina clearly indicate that you do not serve your state, us, and a Bosnia and Herzegovina that should be proud even to you, but that you serve the anti-Bosnian coalition. Your inhuman and inhumane attitude towards the state that pays you clearly speaks about the character of your personality," Ramić concluded in the open letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
