(Patria) - The Communications Regulatory Agency (Agency) informs that the provision of telecommunication services in Bosnia and Herzegovina is mostly proceeding without interruption, but increased internet traffic usage is evident. In this regard, the Agency appeals to citizens, users of telecommunication services, to use the internet rationally in the circumstances of the declared state of emergency/state of natural and other disaster, i.e., to make internet usage rational.
"Bearing in mind that video content are services that particularly burden internet capacities, the Agency appeals for their rational use. For example, online classes can also be conducted through text messages and document exchange, and it is advisable to avoid holding video conferences between multiple participants during online classes. Also, teachers' lectures can be limited to ten to fifteen minutes, as otherwise internet resources that are also needed by other users are unnecessarily consumed.
In crisis situations, minors are a particularly vulnerable target group. They see this situation as an opportunity to exploit the possibilities of the digital world to the fullest. Therefore, it is necessary to limit the time they spend using the internet outside of classes, especially watching video clips," it was announced.
