(Patria) - BiH Security Minister Fahrudin Radončić commented on Instagram on information about State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) officials infected with coronavirus.
We are transmitting his statement in its entirety:
- Information has appeared in the public that the coronavirus has entered one organizational segment of SIPA. As the Minister of Security, I have been in constant communication with acting director Đuro Knežević since late last night and today. According to the recommendations of epidemiologists, all employees who were in contact with those infected have been tested in the way it is done in the RS, and beneficiaries in the FBiH have undergone rapid tests. I am very grateful to the director of the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", dr. Zlatko Kravić, for enabling 35 SIPA employees to undergo so-called rapid tests since last night.
What is also very important is that the functioning of SIPA has not been jeopardized. Plans for dividing employees into different shifts and spaces were made earlier, because the possibility of such events was anticipated in a timely manner.
Finally, I spoke by phone with three of those infected, who are being treated at home, all of them, as well as their family members, are feeling well and, God willing, will be fine. I also spoke with the president of the Police Union, and last night I informed him of everything that had already been undertaken - wrote Radončić.
