Workers of the Geomet Olovo mine announce protest in front of the municipality due to layoffs

(Patria) - Employees of the Geomet mine in Olovo will hold a peaceful protest today in front of the Olovo Municipality, the reason being layoffs of workers that followed after annual leave.

The workers want to get answers from the municipal administration in this way.

"We are particularly interested in the place and role of a certain Goletić in the mentioned obstructions, especially from the aspect of the fact that he is paid with our money and the money of the citizens of Olovo," says Enadin Brčić, president of the workers' initiative committee, in a statement.

The chairman of the municipal council is also called upon to explain the engagement of Goletić, whom they call "the gravedigger of the mine."

"We also want to hear the reasons for filing lawsuits against the Mine, as well as numerous complaints by the Municipality to the relevant ministries and agencies regarding the final decisions of the mine and permits that were obtained in accordance with the law," the statement adds.
