Krivaja Mobel workers demand meeting with Nikšić, otherwise protests in front of the FBiH Government

(Patria) - Workers of "Krivaja Mobel" gathered in front of the company gate, demanding the consolidation of their service years and the retirement of those who have met the conditions. If this does not happen, they announce protests.

They claim that a hundred of them meet the conditions for retirement, but due to unconsolidated service years, they are unable to exercise their rights.

As they say, since May 8, they have been waiting to be received by the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić.

The gathered workers state that if a meeting at the FBiH Government does not take place, they will organize a protest in front of the FBiH Government building in Sarajevo on July 12.

This company was the largest center of the wood industry in the former Yugoslavia. Before the war, Zavidovići had 50,000 inhabitants, and 12,000 people worked in this factory, so almost every family from Zavidovići and the surrounding area had someone who worked in Krivaja. The company collaborated with the whole world... Europe, Asia, Africa, America.

After the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the beginning of privatization, everything changed. Instead of the successes of the Bosnian giant, the media increasingly talked about bankruptcy, sales, layoffs, and workers' protests.
