Centar Municipality Operating at Reduced Capacity, Ajnadžić Calls on Services to Test Employees

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Mayor of Centar Municipality Sarajevo, Nedžad Ajnadžić, held a video conference of the Coordination Team on Friday to discuss the current situation in the Centar Municipality, as well as the infection of one of the employees of this institution.

It was determined that the municipality employee, who was found to be positive for coronavirus, was sent home for self-isolation yesterday from the isolation ward of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

On this occasion, Mayor Ajnadžić decided that the majority of employees will be sent on annual leave and to work from home until further notice. In order to maintain the basic functions of the administration, the Civil Registry Office and the protocol office will be open at the Municipality every working day from 9 AM to 1 PM. After testing, the closest team in the Mayor's Cabinet will perform their work duties regularly along with the mayor, which will enable the functioning of all services, provided the test results are negative.

In this regard, the municipal mayor appeals to the competent epidemiological service to organize testing of all employees who were in direct contact with the employee with a positive coronavirus test result as soon as possible, so that they can resume their regular work duties afterwards.

It was requested from the epidemiological service to test other employees in the next phase, before they come to work, to enable safe communication among themselves and with clients.

Coordination Team members Dr. Bakir Nakaš and Dr. Salko Pašović supported all the measures taken so far by Mayor Ajnadžić in preventing the spread of coronavirus, both in the municipality and in the organization of the municipal administration's work.
