Passengers from Rome to go into quarantine, 66 cases of coronavirus in FBiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Although it was announced today that the commander of the Federal Civil Protection Staff Jelka Milićević would address the media at 5:15 PM, at the very beginning of the press conference it was stated that she was unable to address them.

Vlatka Martinović, director of the Federal Health Insurance and Reinsurance Fund of FBiH, spoke first, emphasizing that the procurement of medicines is proceeding without difficulties and that citizens should not worry.    
 
“I call on all our citizens to be solidary and calm. We citizens are the most responsible in this situation, we must be most responsible towards medical workers,” said Martinović. 

Compared to 10 AM this morning, eight new samples have been tested, and COVID-19 has been confirmed in four people, said the director of the FBiH Public Health Institute, Davor Pehar. 

“Two infected people are from Grude, one from Široki Brijeg, and one from Čitluk. We are still awaiting certain results. So far, 525 people have been tested in FBiH, and 66 patients are infected with coronavirus,” Pehar stated. 

By cantons, the number of infected people is: HNK 27, ZHK 10, KS 9, ZDK 8, USK 6, BPK 4, Posavski and SBK 1 each. 

Tuzlanski and Kanton 10 have no infected individuals. 

By cities in FBiH, the number of infected people is: Konjic 17, Sarajevo and Mostar 9 each, Široki Brijeg 7, Bihać 6, Zenica 4, Goražde 4, Grude 3, Tešanj 2, Novi Travnik, Orašje, Visoko, Breza, and Čitluk one infected each. 

In FBiH, more than 32,000 people are under health supervision, and the Institute expects this number to increase. They reiterated their call to citizens to adhere to the orders. 

Fahrudin Solak, head of the Federal Civil Protection Staff, said that all measures have been taken to welcome the charter flight and passengers from Rome who are landing at Sarajevo International Airport tomorrow. 

“I don’t think there will be any problems, and they will automatically go into quarantine. There have been many other reports about the implementation of orders and difficulties in their implementation. We will see in the coming period if we will expand certain orders and whether these orders will have an effect,” Solak stated.
