Heating Turned On in Vogošća

(Patria) - Central heating for the residents of Vogošća was turned on today in agreement with the Government of Sarajevo Canton, confirmed Enis Džihanić, director of the company 'BAGS-Energotehnika', for Hayat.ba.

"This morning, the Government called me and asked if we could heat for two days because new quantities of fuel oil would arrive. I was told that new tankers would arrive today or tomorrow, so we turned on the heating. Today at 1 PM, the minister called a press conference, I was not invited, he will probably provide more information, I really don't know – Džihanić told us.

We remind you that 'BAGS-Energotehnika' announced a statement yesterday after 4 PM about switching to the so-called 'warm mode' of operation due to a lack of fuel oil.

Thus, the residents of Vogošća faced a disruption in the supply of thermal energy in the coldest part of winter, and many only found out about the heating interruption when the radiators had already started to cool down.

Last year, we already felt this method on our own skin. Now the same story is repeating – without answers, without explanations, and without a sense of responsibility towards people freezing in their homes – angry citizens stated yesterday.

The Municipality of Vogošća also reacted sharply. Mayor Migdad Hasanović (SDA) stated that such a decision is shocking, but, unfortunately, not surprising. He emphasized that, although the Municipality does not have formal jurisdiction over this company, it will not remain a silent observer of the endangerment of the population's health and safety.
