(Patria) - All members of the Bishops' Conference of BiH are participating in the session of the 76th regular Bishops' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Banja Luka, as well as the president of the Slovenian Bishops' Conference, Msgr. Stanislav Zore, Metropolitan Archbishop of Ljubljana, and the delegate of the Croatian Bishops' Conference, Msgr. Milan Stipić, Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of Križevci.
Cardinal Vinko Puljić said that "in these times, the unsettled political situation regarding the formation of government and the persistent effort to create supremacy is difficult for us".
"There is less and less equality from those in power, as well as from those who supposedly create a just democratic society. I am particularly concerned about political games with migration. Those who cause migration are persistently ignored, while solutions are constantly sought from others. These people are fleeing their countries: some because fear of war and injustice drives them from their homes, and others because they have been promised castles in the sky and are seeking a better life. Unfortunately, according to some information, there are also a third group who have been sent specifically to certain areas to cause unrest," said Cardinal Puljić, who also mentioned alarming data on the demographic situation, especially concerning Catholics, who are predominantly Croats.
"We all face the question of how to heal public opinion that is being killed by its hopelessness? Unfortunately, almost everything has become politicized, so if you don't want to think and speak like the representatives of the ruling party, you can even get the message that 'the night will swallow you'. A party is not and must not be more important than the people and the individual! It is unacceptable that, after emerging from monolithic thinking, a three-way thinking is persistently imposed instead of all positive forces within each nation and in our entire society, with all the richness in diversity, uniting on the path of good, contributing each in their own way and in free cooperation to the betterment of every person, every nation, and all people in all areas of this country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which God has granted us in His divine providence," said Cardinal Puljić.
