(Patria) - At least 16 people were wounded in a shooting at a secondary school in Siverek, southeastern Turkey.
The attacker, a former student of the school, committed suicide, officials announced.
The attacker, armed with a shotgun, fired randomly at the vocational secondary school in Siverek, in the province of Şanlıurfa, before hiding in the building and killing himself.
The motive for the attack is not yet known.
School shootings are rare in Turkey.
Special police units were deployed after the attacker refused to surrender, while all staff and students were evacuated, NTV reported.
