Shooting in Kiseljak: One woman dead, another wounded, suspect sought

(Patria) - One person was killed, while another was wounded in a shooting that occurred this morning in the Jehovac settlement in Kiseljak.

"On 18.05.2026, at 07:55, an unknown person reported by phone to the Kiseljak Police Station that a firearm had been discharged in the Jehovac settlement, municipality of Kiseljak. Police officers from the Kiseljak Police Station were dispatched to the scene, who confirmed the report, i.e., that a firearm had been used by M.P., born in 1972, from Kiseljak, against 2 close family members (female), one of whom died, while the other was seriously injured.

Members of the Special Support Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Central Bosnia Canton/Kanton Sarajevo Travnik are currently working to locate, find, and apprehend the perpetrator of the mentioned criminal offense. You will be promptly informed of all further measures and actions taken by the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Central Bosnia Canton/Kanton Sarajevo regarding the mentioned event," stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Central Bosnia Canton/Kanton Sarajevo.
