First time in 15 years they are boycotting a match: BHF donate 20,000 KM to junior basketball players

Dissatisfied with the decision of the Football Association of BiH and the security services of the Bilino Polje stadium, members of the fan group BHFanaticos have sent an open letter of protest, which the Patria news agency is publishing in full.

- Namely, after UEFA's decision to close the north stand for the next home qualifying match, we sent a request to NFSBIH for our fan group BHFanaticos to be accommodated in the East stand, as was the case in the past.

Our request was rejected for reasons known only to them, citing "security" reasons, and our fan group was forced to go to the West stand, where tickets cost an unbelievable 40 KM. What we cannot and will not remain silent about and accept is the fact that our Association considers us a "risk" and forces us to go to the West stand. Either West or…. ???? Or what ???

After everything we have given and are still giving to the national team and sports. After millions of kilometers traveled for the national team, BHFanaticosi have become a RISK.

After UEFA's decision to close the north stand, it became clear to us that the finger was pointed at BHF for all the events at the previous match against Israel, and that we were deliberately set up as a scapegoat and the usual culprit. There are video recordings showing the entire stadium booing the Israeli anthem, as well as video recordings where offensive racist messages come from other stands. But it was easiest for someone to point the finger at BHF. Someone was just waiting for the slightest excuse to target BHF and try to "punish" us severely. 500 tickets at 40 KM is a total of 20,000 KM from our pockets. Well thought out. Well, that won't happen, gentlemen!

The blackmail policy and the imposition of the most expensive stand and the most expensive tickets on a fan group like BHFanaticos will not pass. It is against all our principles, stances, codes, and against all morality. Simply put, it is a policy worthy of condemnation. IMPUDENCE.

To be clear, we are not asking for free tickets, and we have never asked for them. For every match in Zenica, we have paid 20 KM for each ticket obtained for the north stand, thus contributing 10 to 12 thousand KM to the NFSBIH budget at each match.

We never asked for free tickets because we are aware, and we realized long ago, that this freebie would eventually come back to bite us, which proved to be true after the match against Israel. Gentlemen at NFSBIH, we knew you had neither gratitude nor respect.

Your policy is brazen exploitation of fan fanaticism and patriotism, and our love for the national team and the stands. You prioritize your cash register and economy, while neglecting all the fans who support the national team from Portugal to Kazakhstan. Not just BHF.

Due to "security" and moral reasons, due to our personal stances, principles, and codes, and due to your ingratitude towards the fans: BHFANATICOS will not attend the match against Andorra in Zenica.

This decision is not a boycott of the national team, but only a reaction to what we will call your impudence. This will be the first match in 15 years of our existence where our main banner and flags will not be present, and where our songs of support will not be heard.

MAY IT BE TO YOUR HONOR, GENTLEMEN

To confirm that it is not just about money, but that our principles, codes, and stances have been violated, BHFanaticos has decided to donate the entire amount of 20,000 KM, which we would have spent on purchasing tickets for the west stand, directly to the cadet and junior national basketball teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Once again, bravo for our youth.

Dear gentlemen, it is clear to us that the table you are sitting at is abundant and rich, as you have started to stuff large bites into your mouths. Our advice to you is to chew well, well, before you swallow.
