March 1st: The next four years are crucial for the survival of returnee communities

The coalition of civil society organizations "March 1st" welcomed the formation of government at the state and entity levels, with the hope that burning issues of importance for refugees, displaced persons, and returnees in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be resolved in the next four years, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- I believe that Minister Semiha Borovac and Minister Edin Ramić will recognize the importance of cooperation and work on joint projects. It is very important that the state level focuses on the registry of refugees and effective information on important issues such as the protection of property rights in the homeland. On the other hand, we expect Minister Ramić to continue working in the returnee communities, with a special focus on connecting returnees, working unitedly from Prijedor to Trebinje on the burning issues of ensuring equal access to employment, protection of acquired rights in the Federation, development projects for isolated places, education without discrimination, and finally, greater civic and political participation of Bosniak returnees in the RS - said Salihović.

- Now we expect a discussion on the budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where we hope that the representatives, considering all the urgency, will still act by amendment and increase allocations for the healthcare of returnees by 500,000 marks, which the Health Insurance Fund of the Federation has estimated is necessary for full access to hospital treatment for returnees from the FBiH to the RS entity - concluded Salihović.
