First Congress of the Democratic Front

The first congress of the Democratic Front (DF) is underway, which began at 10 AM in the building of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the Patria News Agency.

Party delegates, 420 of them from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, will elect the party president. The founder and current president of DF, Željko Komšić, is the only candidate for this position. Delegates will also elect the party's Main Board, which will consist of 90 members, as well as the Supervisory Board of seven members.

The Main Board will elect other party bodies after its appointment.

Although a young party, DF won a considerable number of votes in the 2014 elections, after which it entered into a coalition with SDA and HDZ BiH at all levels of government. A few months later, the coalition at the federal level collapsed, but the one at the state level and in some cantons remained, writes Patria.
