First Groups of Bosnian Hajjis Arrive in Medina: Days of Rest and Worship After Hajj Rituals

(Patria) - The first groups of Bosnian Hajjis arrived in Medina, the city of relief and joy, last night.

Upon arrival, they performed the Isha prayer in the Prophet's Mosque, the second holiest site in Islam, immediately after the Kaaba in Mecca.

- Praise be to Allah Almighty for the opportunity to visit the Prophet's Mosque. The mosque and the entire ambiance are exceptionally pleasant and beautiful. Here, as they say, the arrival is the icing on the cake.

Staying in Medina evokes special emotions. Of course, Mecca is also special, but still - Medina is Medina - says Samir Redžić from Cazin.

Hasiba Čirić, also from Cazin, thanked dear Allah for enabling her to perform the Hajj and, after years of longing, arrive before the Prophet's Mosque.

- Allah fulfilled my wish. These emotions cannot be described; they can only be experienced - emphasizes Hasiba.

After the demanding Hajj rituals, the Bosnian Hajjis in Medina will have the opportunity to rest and spend time enjoying the spirituality of this blessed place.

- For most Hajjis, Medina is more beautiful and peaceful because there is no rush, pressure, or nervousness here. We arrived in Medina just before the Isha prayer, and we already managed to come to the mosque for prayer.

That is one of the advantages of Medina – everything is more accessible, easier, and closer than in Mecca, where there are truly large crowds and an enormous flow of people - says one of the guides, Abdullah-ef. Tričić.

The preparations for the arrival of the Hajjis this year were also carried out by the advance team of the Office for Hajj and Umrah, which arrived in Medina a few days earlier.

During their stay in this city, it is planned for the Hajjis to visit some of the most significant historical sites, including Uhud, Masjid al-Qiblatayn, and Masjid Quba.

- Today, a new group of four buses from Mecca will arrive in Medina, and arrivals will continue daily until June 5. Each group will visit the mentioned landmarks the very next morning after arrival.

All preparations for receiving the Hajjis are complete, so they can look forward to their stay in Medina, in a significantly more relaxed and peaceful environment compared to Mecca - added the chief guide, Izet-ef. Čamdžić.

The Office for Hajj and Umrah has also reserved slots for visiting the Rawdah, so the Hajjis will visit this oldest part of the Prophet's Mosque in an organized manner today and in the coming days, where the grave of the Prophet of Allah is located, as well as the graves of the first two caliphs.

Bosnian Hajjis will arrive in Medina in stages every day, with the last arrival expected on June 5.
