FIRST MATCH Željo at Grbavica in the Cup Final, Significant Advantage

In the first match of the BiH Cup final, Željezničar convincingly defeated Krupa 2-0, thus gaining a capital advantage before the second leg. Similar to the semi-final duel against Sloboda, Admir Adžem made several changes compared to league matches, so Anel Šabanadžović and Saša Kajkut played from the start.

Slobodan Starčević somewhat surprised with his lineup, as his team played with three stoppers in the last line and advanced Lazar Marjanović and Nusmir Fajić. The Blues took territorial initiative from the start, primarily thanks to the guests' defensive tactics. There were no major excitements until the 21st minute. The hosts took the ball in the middle, Dženan Zajmović passed to Stojan Vranješ who crossed into the middle, but Saša Kajkut missed from a few meters, or rather, Stefan Nikolić reacted with a sacrifice.

After that chance, Krupa managed to balance the game, both teams took a few set pieces, but there were no situations worth mentioning. Željezničar took the lead in the 36th minute thanks to a mistake by Jovan Kutić. Goran Zakarić shot from the edge of the penalty area, the ball slipped out of the visiting goalkeeper's hands, and Zajmović took advantage of the gift. Although the match was not rough or aggressive, referee Dragan Petrović showed four yellow cards in the first half, three of which were given to the home team. There was a minor scuffle on the field in the 44th minute, Daniel Graovac fouled Nusmir Fajić in a jump, Petrović didn't whistle anything, the hosts continued to play and earned a corner in the continuation, which caused revolt among the guests who asked for the ball to be put out. At the start of the second half, the picture was similar to the first half: territorial initiative and fruitless attacks by the hosts.

The first serious chance came in the 57th minute. Zakarić managed to outjump Aleksandar Vukotić and pass to Kajkut, who shot weakly from an angle on the right side, and Kutić caught the ball without any problems. In the 65th minute, the Blues doubled their lead. Adi Mehremić, who was excellent today, crossed from the left, and Daniel Graovac scored a beautiful header. Three minutes later, there was a sigh at Grbavica, but in the visitors' camp.

Nikola Dujaković shot sharply from the edge of the penalty area into the very corner, but his shot was blocked by Mehremić. In the last 15 minutes, Krupa opened up in an attempt to score an important away goal. However, there were no changes in the score. It remained 2-0, although substitute Asim Zec could have scored a third goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar. The second leg will be played next Wednesday in Krupa na Vrbasu starting at 5 PM.
