First session of the new Independent Board on March 21

The constitutive session of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which was confirmed yesterday in the House of Peoples, will most likely be held on March 21, confirmed for the news agency Patria Žiko Krunić, the chairman of the Independent Board. We remind you that Enes Obralija and Mato Jozić were appointed as his deputies, while the members are Ilma Mehić-Jusufbašić, Adisa Begić, Nikola Džambas, Mato Miletić, Ljubomir Kuravica and Miroslav Škorić.

This composition of the Independent Board is expected to conduct interviews with candidates who applied for the positions of Director of the Border Police and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, as well as their deputies and the deputy of SIPA, as soon as possible.

We remind you that since March 9, Himzo Selimović and Vinko Dumančić, and their deputies, have been performing these functions unhindered, although their mandates have expired. Namely, the Council of Ministers asked Dumančić and Selimović to continue performing these functions even though their mandates were not officially extended. However, as NAP has learned, this procedure could be prolonged, although the Independent Board will try to complete the entire process as soon as possible.

- After the constitutive session of the Independent Board, we will decide on the next steps. We will finish everything within a reasonable time, no longer than two months – Krunić told NAP.
