(Patria) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković participated yesterday in a ministerial meeting dedicated to the succession issues of the successor states of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The meeting was held in New York.
At the meeting, attended by representatives of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Slovenia, it was stated that the implementation of the Succession Issues Agreement is proceeding slowly, especially regarding Annexes A, C, and D.
Regarding Annex B, it was emphasized that Serbia needs to provide all data on the diplomatic and military assets of the SFRY abroad in order to bring the process to an end.
It was concluded that regular meetings should continue to discuss key issues. The next meeting is planned in Sarajevo with the aim of reaching an agreement on the return of archives.
Minister Konaković emphasized the importance of cooperation but also pointed out the stalemate in negotiations. He stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina will contribute to solving this problem, the resolution of which will likely proceed through legal channels if a political agreement is not reached.
