Protest in front of the Government of Sarajevo Canton due to the match of an Israeli club in Sarajevo, citizens attempted to enter the building

(Patria) - A group of citizens protesting in front of the building of the Government of Sarajevo Canton today attempted to enter the session, but were prevented by the police.

The gathered oppose the playing of the Euroleague match between Dubai (UAE) and the Israeli Hapoel from Tel Aviv, scheduled for Thursday in Zetra, stating that Sarajevo must not host an Israeli club due to the crimes in Gaza.

The demonstrators carry banners and chant “Aren’t you ashamed?”, demanding that Prime Minister Nihad Uk address them. They said they will not leave until someone from the Government responds.

“We do not want normalization of genocide. Sport should represent honor and fairness, not justify crimes,” the gathered said.
