Bus operators' protest slows and hinders traffic on numerous routes

(Patria) - According to available information from the BIHAMK Information Center, the protests are not directly aimed at passenger traffic and no blockades of border crossings for passenger vehicles are planned.

Due to a larger number of freight vehicles participating in the protest, which have gathered near customs terminals and at border crossings, traffic for passenger vehicles is hindered and slowed.

Due to the high frequency of vehicles, occasional delays are possible.

Currently, at the border crossings of Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Kamensko, Bijača, Orašje, Bosanski Šamac, Pavlovića Most/Popovi, Bratunac, Strmica, Bosanska Gradiška and Rača, the freight terminal is blocked, while there are no major difficulties for passenger traffic.

Due to the protest, traffic is hindered, with one lane operating in:

‣ Tuzla (Šićki Brod, Simin Han);
‣ Živinice (main road, Križaljka and Kulići intersection);
‣ Gračanica (traffic lights);
‣ Gradačac (Ormanica);
‣ Doboj (Matuzići near Eurometal, roundabout in Doboj south);
‣ Mostar (Ortiješ);
‣ Travnik (Dolac na Lašvi);
‣ Vitez (near impregnation, traffic lights);
‣ Bugojno (Podgaj, towards Donji Vakuf);
‣ Kaonik (intersection for Busovača);
‣ Sarajevo (Bačići, Kurta Schorka near Centrotrans and Gazprom pump, heading towards customs terminals);
‣ Banja Luka (from Kramar to Centrum, Prijedor loop, Ilije Grašanina street towards Zotović near the customs terminal, Tunjice, from motel "Signal" towards Prijedor loop, from Campus to the "Euroherc" building);
‣ Prnjavor (Main road - direction towards Derventa, Lužani roundabout, regional road from Stanara direction, 9. Januar highway);
‣ Laktaši (Banja Luka-Klašnice expressway, in Glamočani, near hotel "Ćubić" from Banja Luka direction, in Klašnice, near catering facility "Pauk", from Prnjavor direction, near "Milkij", from Srbac direction);
‣ Čelinac (main road Banja Luka-Čelinac, Vukana Trivića Street).

"Nevertheless, we advise all drivers planning trips to exercise caution and recommend they obtain information via our duty phone number 1325 or follow current information on our website: www.bihamk.ba.

Works are ongoing on the A1 highway section Podlugovi - Sarajevo north, as well as on main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Jablanica-Prozor (Mirci) and Posušje-GP Osoje", state from BIHAMK.

They remind that on the main road Jablanica-Blidinje, traffic is allowed for all vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes total weight.

Vehicle traffic is occasionally increased at border crossings, but waiting times are no longer than 30 minutes. The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.

They note that waiting times at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Drivers have access to video surveillance cameras on the website www.bihamk.ba.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tonnes maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik).

Freight vehicles over 5 tonnes are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing.

Freight vehicles can operate at the Šepak border crossing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (on weekends they can cross during the 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. period).
