Among the possible successors of Mehmed Baždarević in Estonia, Croatian coach Robert Prosinečki was mentioned among the BiH FA delegation, reports Patria agency.
- I heard through the media that I am a candidate for the BiH coach, but no one has contacted me. Bosnia and Herzegovina has good players, but I have nothing more to say on the topic at this moment - Prosinečki told the Croatian media.
Reprezentacija.ba learns from well-verified sources that Prosinečki would be willing to work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but for a salary double that of Baždarević (around 30,000 euros) and for a higher percentage of bonuses for qualifying for major competitions.
The Football Association of Slovenia preempted their colleagues from the BiH FA and already conducted negotiations with Prosinečki yesterday.
Analysts believe that the Croatian coach would be a good choice for the BiH coach due to his offensive style of play and the high discipline he demands from players.
Amar Osim, Meho Kodro, and Srečko Katanec are mentioned as the most serious candidates for the BiH coach.
