Prosinečki and Pjanić optimistic ahead of match against Bulgaria

RAZGRAD, (Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team will play a friendly match against Bulgaria in Razgrad tomorrow. There is a good atmosphere in our team the day before the match.

Coach Robert Prosinečki pointed out at today's press conference that the players are ready regardless of the snow and sub-zero temperatures prevailing in Razgrad.

- All the guys are healthy, that's the most important thing. They are also ready. They will give their maximum even though there is snow and the conditions are not ideal. Unfortunately, we only had one training session. This is currently the best that BiH has, we are all together.

Every match is important, including these friendlies. We want to play a good game. New season, new ambitions, the Nations League is also here. We want to see where we stand through all the matches. Bulgaria is a good team. I am glad that we will play against strong national teams in friendly matches – said Prosinečki.

One of the players from whom the coach expects the most is Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanić.

- The most important thing is that we understand what the coach wants from us and how we will play. We are not playing for points, but our role on the field will be to win – says our best player Miralem Pjanić before the match.

Along with Edin Džeko, Miralem Pjanić is the player with the most appearances for the BiH national team in the current squad, and he believes that the World Cup in Brazil is not the only major competition he will play in with the national team.

- BiH has always meant a lot to me and still does today. It was a great pleasure when we qualified for the World Cup in Brazil. I hope we will play in some more championships and that we will encourage our people – added Pjanić, who played his first match for the national team on August 20, 2008, against Bulgaria.

In the last training session, coach Prosinečki rehearsed the lineup: Šehić, Memišević, Bičakčić, Zukanović, Kolašinac, Bešić, Sarić, Pjanić, Duljević, Kodro, and Džeko, so it is likely that this team will start the match against the Bulgarians.

The match will be played on Friday at 6 PM in Razgrad.
