ZENICA. (Patria) - At "Bilino polje" in Zenica, the team led by coach Robert Prosinečki held the last official training session of the "A" national team before the match with Liechtenstein. Before the training, a press conference was held where coach Robert Prosinečki and captain Edin Džeko addressed the media.
The media representatives were interested to know if the coach would rest some players for the match in Armenia, to which Prosinečki replied:
"The best will play, and if the result is good, we will try to rest some players for Armenia. I believe in these players and we have to win to boost our confidence, because we are playing under certain pressure due to poorer results in previous matches. However, pressure is always present in this profession. We no longer have room for mistakes. We have to win all matches and not pay attention to how others play."
When asked if the newcomers to the national team would get playing time, the coach said that the first impressions are good.
Captain Edin Džeko said that he believes they can win, but they must not underestimate anyone.
"Everyone plays football today, and we have to give our maximum against Liechtenstein if we want to win. We have dropped too many points, and a victory against Liechtenstein would give us additional confidence before the continuation of the qualifiers."
Džeko has scored six goals in the previous encounters of the BiH team with Liechtenstein.
"Every striker is expected to score goals, but the most important thing is to win and be ready for Armenia."
The BiH-Liechtenstein match is scheduled for tomorrow at 8:45 PM at the "Bilino polje" stadium in Zenica.
