Searching for a permanent solution to the issue of healthcare for the returnee population in Republika Srpska was the main topic of today's meeting in Sarajevo organized by the Federal Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees, Edin Ramić, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
The meeting was attended by the directors of the Federal Health Insurance Fund, Novka Agić, and the Health Insurance Fund of Tuzla Canton, Almira Hurić.
As stated, the issue of primary healthcare, hospital treatment of returnees, and vertical healthcare must be resolved systematically in cooperation with all these institutions, especially where this problem is most pronounced due to the number of patients, which is Tuzla Canton, accounting for almost 95 percent of these cases.
It was concluded that, in cooperation with the University Clinical Center Tuzla, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of the cost structure for the treatment of returnees, in order to find modalities for securing the missing funds for these purposes, and to propose the most favorable, universally acceptable solutions to the FBiH Government through the Federal Ministry of Health.
