Promotion of Odobašić's book: Genocide committed in Bosanska Krajina

Genocide in Bosanska Krajina has been committed! And there is no court that can dispute that from 1,132 graves, of which 128 are mass graves, 116 collective, and 886 individual, the remains of 4,697 victims have been exhumed, of which 4,006 have been identified so far, and that this is not genocide, writes the Patria news agency.

Women, children, centenarians, babies were killed... All of this was immortalized in ink and pen, determined to snatch it from oblivion by Jasmin Odobašić, whose book "A Thousand Graves in Bosanska Krajina 1992-1995" was promoted in Sarajevo, and tonight the residents of Tešanj will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with its content.

Odobašić presented a chronology of exhumations in the area of Bosanska Krajina in his book.

-Odobašić's book fills a huge void marked by our irresponsibility and laziness to record events from our recent past, to approach them sincerely and critically, and to draw insights and conclusions that will enable us to predict, rather than always and again make the same mistakes that gradually bring Bosnian society and the state to the brink of disappearance, said, among other things, one of the promoters Senadin Lavić, president of BZK Preporod, who is also the publisher of the book.

Prof. Nenad Tanović mathematically approximated, down to the smallest detail, the „death curve“ in the area of Bosanska Krajina. For every 500 square meters, one person was killed, said Prof. Tanović, which speaks to the magnitude of the crime committed in this area.

-The Bosniak and Bosnian people survived a terrible demonization, and in fact attempts are being made to minimize the scale of the crime committed by a well-organized group. Genocide was not committed only in Srebrenica, because genocide is the killing of six innocent sons of mother Hava from Prijedor, the killing of eight reapers in Tešanj, the killing of Srđan Aleksić in Trebinje, the destruction of the Old Bridge in Mostar, the murder of 133 Sarajevans on April 5, 1992. This book is a documentary work that precisely shows that genocide was planned and unfortunately realized throughout BiH, emphasized Šemsudin Mehmedović, the book's reviewer.

Odobašić's book proved that exclusively civilians were killed in Bosanska Krajina, and that all discovered graves are the result of cowardice, not military conflicts.

-For twenty years I have been fighting to transparently provide data on all those killed in our country, not just Bosniaks, to present it to the public, to create preconditions for reconciliation. This book was created based on my personal archival material, and it is sad that it was not published by the Institute for Missing Persons or some state institution. In this country of ours, everything is carefully inventoried, from cars to houses, and we know how much of everything there is. Only there is no list of victims, that is a catastrophe. Even in an ordinary store, every can is recorded, but we do not know how many people were killed, emphasized Odobašić.

The Sarajevo promotion of Odobašić's book, which revealed the scale of the crime in Bosanska Krajina, was exceptionally well attended.

Among the guests were as many as four Krajina generals: Atif Dudaković, Fikret Ćuskić, Sakib Mahmuljin, and Sakib Forić.
