Book "Witness to Genocide" by Roy Gutman Promoted

(Patria) - Organized by the Association "Bosna" and the Bosniak Institute, today at 6:00 PM in Sarajevo, the promotion of Roy Gutman's book "Witness to Genocide" will be held.

This is a new edition of this book, first published in Bosnian in April 1995, during the aggression, but it is still very relevant today, making its new edition a great success.

Author Roy Gutman is a recipient of the Politzer Prize for journalism and the "Key to the City of Sarajevo" award. Through his writing, Roy Gutman informed the American and Western public about the existence of concentration camps in Bosnia and the killings and torture that non-Serbs were subjected to in these camps. His articles prompted the US administration to address this issue more seriously. In this way, Roy Gutman saved many camp inmates from certain death.

In addition to the author, the book will also be discussed by Assistant Professor Jasmin Medić, Doctor of Historical Sciences and research associate at the Institute for History of the University of Sarajevo, Avdo Huseinović, journalist, publicist, and director, and Eset Muračević, writer, journalist, publicist, former camp inmate, and Hague witness against war criminal Radovan Karadžić.

The promotion will be moderated by journalist and writer Fahrudin Sinanović. There is great interest in this promotion in Sarajevo.
