Project 'Ljiljan' at Ivan Sedlo Continues: Hadžići Mayor Eldar Čomor and Veterans' Associations Visit the Site!

(Patria) - As part of yesterday's visit, a delegation from the Municipality of Hadžići, led by Mayor Eldar Čomor, and members of the Patriotska liga of Hadžići Municipality, headed by president Esad Muhibić, visited the potential location for the "Ljiljan" monument on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Esad Muhibić, a member of the Initiative Committee, expressed great satisfaction with the institutions' recognition of the project's importance. He emphasized that the monument has multiple meanings – not only for the defenders of Bosnia and Herzegovina but also for future generations. According to him, the monument would be a place for education, learning, and better understanding of historical space.

Mayor Čomor pointed out that the delegation from the Municipality of Hadžići came at the invitation of the Patriotska liga Associations of Hadžići and Konjic. He promised that the Municipality of Hadžići would provide the necessary support for the realization of the project.

“Whatever is within the scope of the Municipality of Hadžići, we will strive to achieve certain solutions in a timely manner. We have seen that many organizations throughout BiH are supporting this project, and I hope that in the future construction phase of this monument, this support will also be present in every other sense,” Čomor told the portal NoviKonjic.ba.

Reminder of the “Spomenik Ljiljan” Project

The story of the "Ljiljan" monument at Ivan Sedlo has been ongoing for some time, with the aim of honoring all defenders of Bosnia and Herzegovina.



The idea is to erect a monumental structure at a symbolic location that connects Konjic and Hadžići, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project was initiated by veterans' associations with the aim of preserving the memory of the victims and the significance of the defensive war. Many veterans' organizations and institutions have already expressed their support, recognizing the monument as a place of remembrance, but also as a symbol of peace and unity.

This step by the Municipality of Hadžići and the Patriotska liga represents a significant move towards the project's realization, while the support of local authorities paves the way for concrete solutions and the final construction of the monument.
