Roads in BiH passable with local closures due to works and rafting competition

(Patria) - Roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina are passable this morning, without significant disruptions or difficult traffic. During the afternoon hours, increased vehicle frequency is expected in urban zones as well as towards excursion sites and resorts. Remedial works are being carried out on numerous sections across Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to which traffic is altered and adjusted to temporary signage. We call on drivers to drive more cautiously and respect the posted traffic signs.

Due to the holding of a rafting competition today (24.05.) from 10:00 to 17:00, traffic will be suspended on the main road Banja Luka-Jajce, section Karanovac-Crna Rijeka.

Traffic is suspended on the main road Jablanica-Bildinje, as well as on the regional road Ugljevik-Glavičice, in the place Ugljevik selo.

Due to active landslides, we highlight the main roads Dobro Polje-Foča (at locations Sijeračke stijene and Tuhalji) and Gacko-Tjentište (between the tunnels Čemerno and Surdup).

Works are ongoing on the A-1 motorway section Visoko-Podlugovi, as well as on the main roads: Tuzla-Šićki Brod (turnoff for Lipnica), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale and Jablanica-Mostar (Donja Jablanica).

At border crossings, there are no longer waits for passenger vehicles.

Due to bridge damage, the Brčko border crossing can only be used by pedestrians.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 t are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the GP Šepak. Freight vehicles can travel on GP Šepak from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends they can cross in the period from 22:00 to 06:00).
