Three-Day Mourning Declared in Sanski Most

(Patria) - A three-day mourning was declared today in the area of the Sanski Most Municipality, decided at a session of the Municipal Council collegium following the tragic event that occurred yesterday in the Gymnasium building in this town.

Also, a decision was made to hold a commemorative session tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the town cinema in memory of the murdered victims.

It is expected that after this decision, the Government of the Una-Sana Canton will also declare a three-day mourning in the area of this canton.

After the autopsy was performed today at the Cantonal Hospital in Bihać, the bodies of the victims will be returned to their families and buried in the coming days.

We remind that in the shooting that occurred yesterday in the morning hours in the Gymnasium building in Sanski Most, the director of this educational institution, Nijaz Halilović, secretary Nisveta Kljunić, and English teacher Gordana Midžan were killed.

The three of them were shot with an automatic rifle by Mehemed Vukalić, a janitor, who then attempted suicide by shooting himself in the chest.
