Prof. Dr. Zehra Dizdarević: I never treated Dr. Šefik Pašagić!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Following a statement from the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo (KCUS) signed by General Director Sebija Izetbegović, which calls for an investigation into the role of Prof. Dr. Zehra Dizdarević in the treatment of Dr. Šefik Pašagić, who died on April 5 at the Podhrastovi clinic and was infected with the coronavirus.  

Prof. Dr. Zehra Dizdarević issued a response in which she denies having treated Dr. Pašagić.

"I am sorry that I was not in a position to treat him. The cause of death is most accurately determined by autopsy. Sebija Izetbegović directly participated in creating a situation where autopsies are not performed because she fears for herself and fears her own responsibility. She is the most responsible because she is at the top of the hierarchy, not only for the case of Dr. Pašagić but also for other cases, including a child she did not want to treat," states Prof. Dr. Zehra Dizdarević for the Patria News Agency. 

The story about doctors on sick leave is merely a diversion from the death of Dr. Pašagić, says Dr. Dizdarević.

"Obviously, my criticism hit hard because she deeply feels that her ignorance harms the health of our population. I am sorry that I gave in to pleas to help her build an academic career and join the academic community to which she never belonged," concluded Prof. Dr. Zehra Dizdarević.
