(Patria) - Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a heroic operation saved a life-threatening 80-year-old man in the difficult-to-access area of Manjača, announced the Minister of Defense of BiH Zukan Helez on his Facebook profile.
"Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mikajla Zlovarić, Ana Borić, and Ivan Lukić, risking their own lives, headed towards Manjača to help a life-threatening patient.
They reached the patient by breaking through snowdrifts, provided him with first aid due to cardiovascular problems, and transported him to the Emergency Center in Banja Luka.
This successful operation once again showed the high level of readiness and professionalism of the members of the AFBiH, as well as excellent cooperation with civilian institutions. A human life was saved by a swift reaction.
Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mikajla Zlovarić, Ana Borić, and Ivana Lukić will be financially rewarded for their effort and dedication in saving the life of our fellow citizen.
Ana, Ivana, Mikajla, and all other members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina who faithfully and diligently serve the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all its citizens are the pride of our country," wrote Helez.
