Members of the Armed Forces of BiH rescue a woman in a traffic accident near Živinice, pull her from the wreckage of the car

(Patria) - Several members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina rescued a woman who had a traffic accident in the morning hours in the place Podgajevi near Živinice, on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The female person who was driving a VW Polo lost control of the vehicle, veered off a bridge and ended up in a stream after breaking through the protective railing, and members of the AF BiH who were traveling to work immediately stopped their vehicles to begin a rescue operation for the injured woman.

Although the terrain was inaccessible, members of the AF BiH managed to approach the car. As Corporal Adin Višća from the 5th Infantry Brigade told us, they approached the injured woman without hesitation.

“My team and I, who were traveling to work with me, immediately rushed to help. First, we tried to talk to her to check if she was conscious. When we saw that she was becoming communicative, we decided to break the windshield to pull the woman out and save her from the destroyed car. From time to time she lost consciousness, so we washed her face several times until the ambulance arrived. After we provided first aid and gave information to the ambulance staff, we went to work, and she was taken to the University Clinical Center Tuzla for further examinations,” Višća told us.

The members of the AF BiH who participated in rescuing the woman are: members of the 5th Infantry Brigade Haris Mustajbegović, Jusuf Karavdić, Damir Karamuratović, Haris Omerović (from the Reconnaissance Company), and members Adin Višća, Hasan Višća, Narcis Salijašić and Rijad Hasanović (First Infantry Battalion, 3rd Company).

Also, in this humane act, member Selma Delija of the ABHO Company from the Tactical Support Brigade participated.

This heroic act once again demonstrated the readiness of members of the AF BiH to serve the population in the most difficult moments, whether it involves accidents, natural disasters or other crisis situations.
