(Patria) - Due to heavy rainfall, damage to the road surface in the form of potholes or ruts is less visible because they are filled with water and pose an additional danger while driving. Reports of landslides at several locations are also frequent, significantly hindering traffic.
Drivers are advised to be cautious, adjust their speed to road conditions, and avoid risky areas where landslides are possible. Maintain maximum attention, especially in hilly and mountainous areas.
BIHAMK urges drivers to adjust their vehicle speed to the given road conditions while strictly adhering to traffic regulations.
Due to a traffic accident on the M-19 main road Ormanica-Donji Lukavac, traffic has been halted.
Due to heavy rainfall and water accumulating in the underpass at the entrance to Mostar (from the direction of Jablanica), it is recommended to use the M-17 main road. A police patrol is on site regulating traffic.
Works are ongoing on the A1 motorway section Podlugovi - Sarajevo north, as well as on the main roads Semizovac-Olovo and Jablanica-Prozor.
We remind you that on the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is permitted for all vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes total weight.
Increased vehicle traffic is recorded at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings: Velika Kladuša, Kostajnica, Gradina, Gradiška, Brod and Orašje, while at the Doljani border crossing there is a long line of vehicles in both directions. At other border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles do not exceed 30 minutes. The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
Please note that waiting times at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Drivers have access to video surveillance cameras on our website www.bihamk.ba.
Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tonnes maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 tonnes are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses may use the Šepak border crossing. Freight vehicles may travel via the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends they may cross during the 22:00 to 06:00 period).
