Heavy rainfall has hit parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent days, causing a sudden rise in river levels and floods. The most critical situation is in the north and northwest of the country, and some cities have already declared a state of natural disaster and a state of extraordinary flood defense. Due to overflowing rivers, traffic has also been interrupted on some main and local roads, and traffic on many routes is at your own risk.
The situation is extremely critical in Prijedor and Sanski Most, as well as in the areas around these cities.
Prijedor has already declared a state of extraordinary flood defense, and the footage and photos coming from these cities are worrying.
What could further complicate the situation are new rainfall forecasts for that part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
More than 350 facilities flooded in Prijedor
See aerial photos showing the city and surrounding settlements completely submerged in water.
