23 years ago, citizens of Tuzla resisted the aggressor

On the occasion of the commemoration of April 4, 1992, a date of special significance for the recent history of Tuzla, a ceremony of laying flowers at memorials on Slana Banja was held today, organized by the City Administration, followed by a formal session of the City Council of Tuzla, reports the Patria News Agency.

Representatives of the City of Tuzla, numerous organizations, and many citizens laid flowers at the monument to the Partisan Brigades and the monument to the Golden Lilies. After that, they laid wreaths at the monument to the fallen defenders of Tuzla and BiH 1992-1995, as well as wreaths at the cemetery of civilian victims.

The formal session of the Tuzla City Council was opened by Deputy Chairperson Nada Mladina.

Mayor Jasmin Imamović addressed the attendees, recalling April 4, 1992, and emphasizing that this day is one of the most significant dates in the city's recent history. He thanked all participants in the defense of Tuzla and congratulated the citizens on April 4.

After that, a ceremonial formation of members of the citizens' association of demobilized police officers "Manevarac" and demobilized members of the 1st Maneuver Company Mosnik took place, followed by laying flowers at the memorials.
