Applications for enrollment by April 15: Art school for developing artistic talents

At the Nova Gallery in the Holiday Hotel, the start of the School for Developing Artistic Talents was marked by a large exhibition of works by students from Sarajevo elementary schools, writes the news agency Patria.

In this "art school," future artists will be able to learn about painting and "hone" their talents.

The school will be led by art education professor Adrijana Todorović Panjeta.

Children will be divided into three groups: preschool age for whom educational art workshops will be organized, for ages 1st to 5th grade, where creative artistic expression will be developed, and for school-aged children from 6th to 9th grade, who will learn and build upon their knowledge of applied arts and design.

The school starts on April 15, by which time applications for enrollment will be accepted.

-I am happy that my dream of passing on my love for fine arts, skills, and knowledge to children who love art is coming true, and that I can help them hone their talents so they are ready for future challenges and can grow into visual artists one day, and above all, lovers of fine art, because only through children can we improve and save our cultural scene, says professor Adrijana Todorović Panjeta.

-We started our work a little earlier by announcing a competition for the selection of the best artworks by elementary school students from the Canton of Sarajevo. The large number of submitted works made it extremely difficult for the commission members to select the 30 best, who competed today and showed us their artistic skills on the spot, say the organizers.

The gallery space in the Holiday Hotel was filled with the chatter of little-big artists on the city's birthday, who showed enough skill in the competition for their works to be exhibited, and after the exhibition opening, they readily grabbed paper and crayons and in a very short time created true masterpieces, proving that they are in the right place.
