MUP KS Report: Pervert in a Car Harassing Girls in Sarajevo

MUP KS issued a press release regarding the harassment of girls in Sarajevo and posts on social networks, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

On 04.02.2016, the following was posted on social networks: "Warning to all moms and dads", stating that a thirteen-year-old girl was harassed in the Dobrinja settlement area, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, by an unknown male person, and that the concerned mother reported the incident to the police.

Upon verification, it was determined that the mentioned case was not reported to police officers. On 03.02.2016 at 20:05, B.S. from Sarajevo, accompanied by an eleven-year-old girl, approached the official premises of the Stari Grad Sarajevo Police Station and reported that on the same day around 12:30 in Josipa Štadlera Street, Stari Grad Sarajevo municipality, an unknown male person in a passenger motor vehicle, most likely a "Škoda Octavia", approached the girl as she was returning from school and invited her to get into the car, which she refused. Police officers are working to clarify and document the mentioned event, as well as to identify and locate the perpetrator.

We appeal to citizens to report such and similar incidents to the police, rather than posting them unreported on social networks and thus causing public alarm.
