SURVIVED THE HELL OF GAZA Egyptian Appeal: Sisters Isra and Safa Do Not Want to Leave Their Minor Children and Come to BiH Without Them

(Patria) - Doctor of Medicine, BiH citizen Ahmed Shehada, whose two daughters Isra and Safa are currently in Cairo, and who are also BiH citizens, appealed to BiH authorities not to separate his daughters from his grandchildren who are only eight, five, and one year old.

“I followed absolutely every relocation to all countries that were evacuating their citizens from Gaza. This is the first time I have heard that they want to separate children from their mothers under the ridiculous excuse that the children do not have BiH citizenship. I cannot comprehend such illiteracy and disrespect for the law by Minister Nenad Nešić to want to do this. Who would normally think that a mother who has already survived hell could abandon her minor child to whom her mother's citizenship belongs by birth,” said Doctor Ahmed.

He is currently in Brazil where he works, while his two sons are still in Gaza, although they also have BiH citizenship, but due to heavy bombings, they were unable to reach Rafah when the evacuation of BiH citizens was carried out.

“I will tell you that my daughters will not go anywhere without their children. What is being asked of them is absurd. I followed the evacuation of Serbian and Canadian citizens, and no one had similar problems. I appeal to the reason of the politicians there and urge them to respect the laws of their country, although I know that most of them do not like BiH, but since they hold high positions, they must respect the laws,” added Ahmed.

He provided us with a list of BiH citizens with 17 names and noted that the case of his daughters is not the only one and that almost all BiH citizens who have valid citizenship have children, and very few of them will leave their families.
