Prevljak: The national team jersey with the state coat of arms is sacred

RAZGRAD, (Patria) - Young striker of Austrian Mattersburg, Smail Prevljak, has earned a call-up from coach Robert Prosinečki for the matches against Bulgaria and Senegal with his excellent performances in his club's jersey. 

- It is every young player's dream to play for the senior team. To be honest, I secretly hoped for this call-up, especially because I am playing well and scoring goals. I am immensely happy to have been given the opportunity to be here and I will try to justify the coach's trust - says Prevljak.

The young player from Konjic is very pleased with how he was accepted by his teammates in the national team.

- There are several young players with whom I played in the youth national team, so it's easier for me, and the other guys have also welcomed me well, so I am satisfied.

Which player would you like to be compared to in terms of playing style?

- We are all different, and so are our playing styles. I think I have my own style of play, although some say I resemble Džeko a bit. That naturally flatters me, but I would still like to and I am trying to build my own way of playing that people will remember me by.

Prevljak pointed out that his family was overjoyed when they found out he had received a call-up to the national team.

- They were happy and proud of it. I don't know if they rejoiced more than I did, that my parents lived to see me get a call-up to the senior team. For myself, of course, and for them, and especially for coach Prosinečki, I will give my maximum to justify the trust placed in me.

Prevljak added that if he gets the chance to play, he will give his best.

- The jersey with the state coat of arms is sacred, and if I get the chance to play in one of these matches, I will give my maximum, and of course, I hope for a win - concluded the new striker of the BiH national team.
