Croatian opera tenor Krunoslav Cigoj died in Zagreb on Thursday evening. He passed away at the age of 67, after a long battle with a serious illness, reports the Patria News Agency. Krunoslav Cigoj was born in Zagreb on March 30, 1949.
He gained wide popularity in Croatia in the typical bel canto tenor repertoire of chansons, revues, and operettas. He directed operas and operettas in Zagreb, Osijek, Sarajevo, and Maribor, according to Croatian media.
