The legendary coach of the BiH basketball team, Sabit Hadžić, passed away at the age of 61. Hadžić suffered a stroke in mid-February, after which doctors at the hospital in Antalya kept him in an induced coma.
Hadžić was a member of the iconic KK Bosna generation that won the European championship in 1979, and with the Yugoslavian national team, he won bronze at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
He was the coach of the BiH basketball team from 1995 to 2001. He led our national team in four Eurobaskets. He held the same position from 2010 to 2012.
