
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Mustafa Smajlović, writer, poet, literary critic and publicist, passed away today in Sarajevo at the age of 66, announced the BH Journalists Association.
Smajlović was born in 1953 in Lasci near Višegrad. He collaborated with numerous Bosnian and Herzegovinian newspapers and magazines, and was the editor of Večernje novine, Jutarnje novine, BH Dnevnik, Avazov magazin, and others.
He is the author of nine short story collections and the editor and reviewer of several hundred poetry collections, publications, and works in the field of documentary writing.
He was a member of the Writers' Association of BiH, the Association of Bosnian Artists, and the former Association of Journalists of BiH.
The funeral of Mustafa Smajlović will be held in Sarajevo on Monday, May 27, at 2 PM at the Vlakovo City Cemetery.
