(Patria) - With his own hands, young Fuad Halilović (31) made dozens of wigs for children suffering from malignant diseases, and today, upon his passing, many mourn him. Children, to whom he brought smiles back with his wigs, mourn him especially.

Fuad Halilović was a hero. When he was only nine years old, he was diagnosed with AML leukemia - the final stage. He emerged victorious from that battle for life. That fight determined his path and calling. He became a wigmaker.

After his own battle, he did everything to help children and young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina in their fight by making wigs.

Today, on 15 June, the day he passed away, those of whom he was a member bid him farewell. Those of whom he was a part. The association "Srce za djecu" (Heart for Children) bid him farewell with an emotional message.

"Our dear Fudo, our cheerful, energetic one, friend, colleague, dearest,

words are few to describe everything we went through with you. You gave us so many years of joy, laughter, friendship, love, but also dedicated work, valuable lessons, and outstanding results.

You will be missed. Your energy in our wig workshop, in the parent houses, camps, and all the activities you adorned with your valuable deeds will be missed.  You will be missed as the first person we think of when we need any kind of logistical or practical help and support, because you were gifted with your hands.  You will be missed in every moment when we need a laugh, because you always had a humorous quip.  You will be missed every day and every hour of the time taken from us with you.

You will live forever in our hearts," they wrote.
