(Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk, along with Minister of Internal Affairs Admir Katica, visited the teenagers from Novi Sad who were attacked in Sarajevo. On this occasion, the Prime Minister strongly condemned the incident, demanding an urgent investigation and prosecution of all those responsible.
"I condemn all violence, especially when our guests are targeted. I expect the competent authorities to quickly apprehend and prosecute all those responsible. Sarajevo is an open and safe city for all well-intentioned people, and it will remain so," stated Prime Minister Uk.
The police have already apprehended one suspect, while an intensive search is underway for the remaining perpetrators.
We remind you that students from Novi Sad, who are in Sarajevo for an exchange program, were attacked last night in Kulovića Street in front of the Youth Theatre.
They were attacked by a group of hooligans, and one of the attackers, who is also a minor, hit them with a stick. They sustained minor bodily injuries during the attack.
Three young men and one young woman were attacked, reported Istraga. The attacker was taken into custody for the offense of "Riotous behavior".
This was a continuation of a previously initiated conflict.
