BiH Premier League: Derbies in Mostar and Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The BH Telecom Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue with matches of the 26th round today and tomorrow, and the matches in Mostar and Sarajevo will be under public scrutiny. 

Today, Zrinjski will host Željezničar under Bijeli Brijeg. Blaž Slišković's team still harbors hope of catching up to Sarajevo in the title race, trailing them by six points. Therefore, they will surely give their all today against a shaken Željezničar, which suffered a debacle in the city derby against Sarajevo last Saturday, losing at their Grbavica stadium. On the other hand, Amar Osim will not give up easily on keeping Željo in the race for European qualification and will try to surprise Zrinjski with his lineup changes. There will be no lack of uncertainty in this duel, and if both teams show what they are capable of, the spectators should also enjoy it.

The first match of this round will be played between Zvijezda 09 and Mladost. The team from Stanišići desperately needs points in the fight for survival, while Mladost, after losing touch with the top teams, remains in the middle of the table and enters this match relatively relaxed. 

Another team that is not safe from relegation is Tuzla City, which will host Radnik from Bijeljina today in Tuzla. Tuzla is eight points away from the relegation zone and will try to maintain that lead, as any loss of points at home could cost them. On the other hand, the team from Bijeljina is in sixth place and still harbors hopes of a European adventure. 

The last-placed team, Krupa, will seek points to continue their fierce battle against Čelik from Zenica. Krupa is two points behind GOŠK and six points behind Zvijezda 09, so they are under pressure to win every home game. Čelik, like Radnik, is in contention for Europe, but victories are a must in that case. 

GOŠK and Sloboda will open Sunday's program. The team from Gabela is looking for survival points, and a win against the Tuzla team is imperative. On the other hand, Sloboda also harbors hopes for possible qualification for European competitions, so points from away games are essential for them. 

The round will conclude with a clash between the league leaders Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg. The traditionally tense duels between Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg promise another very interesting match. Husref Musemić's team, after a hat-trick against their city rivals and securing a place in the Cup final, is fighting on two fronts. On Sunday, they will defend their six-point lead, and a victory would be just one step closer to the title. On the other hand, Široki Brijeg, currently in third place, wants to maintain their advantage and secure a European spot. Sunday's match at Koševo is, in a way, a prelude to the BiH Cup final in which these two teams will meet.
