216 children examined at KCUS, several toddlers released from 55 admitted

The number of children examined at KCUS from Sarajevo kindergartens poisoned by salmonella is 216, and 55 of them were admitted to the hospital. There were no new cases yesterday or today, and children whose clinical condition allows are being released from the hospital, said Muamera Šehić, spokesperson for KCUS for the BH News Agency Patria.

We remind you that the first group of about 15 children arrived at KCUS on Wednesday, April 22, and the number grew day by day. Analyses confirmed that the children were poisoned by pasta and spinach in which salmonella was found, and which the children ate on Monday and Tuesday.

The central kitchen was closed on Thursday afternoon, and dry food is being distributed in the kindergartens. Children poisoned by food come from nine kindergartens, and only the kindergarten "Lastavica" has been closed.
