(Patria) - Dutch representative Duncan Laurence won against 25 other competitors in the final of the 64th Eurovision Song Contest held last night in Tel Aviv, Israel.
He was one of the favourites, and sang the melancholic ballad "Arcade". This is the first time the Netherlands has won first place in this competition since the 70s.
Italy took second place, Russia was third, and Switzerland was fourth, as announced early this morning after counting the votes of the jury and the audience. Pop icon Madonna was a guest performer in the final of the competition. North Macedonia took eighth place, while our neighbours from Serbia, Albania, and Slovenia had poor placements.
