House of Representatives discusses working bodies, opposition questions session convening

(Patria) - The eighth regular session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation has begun in Sarajevo, during which, according to the announced agenda, only two items will be considered.

The first item relates to the “non-functionality of the working bodies of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the FBiH”, while the second relates to elections and appointments.

We remind you that the parliamentary majority requested a session on non-functionality, primarily of the Legislative-Legal Committee, the Committee for Elections and Appointments, and the Committee for Health, for which they blamed the opposition.

During the discussion on the agenda, Jasmina Bišćević Tokić (SDA) stated that a session cannot be held with agenda items for which representatives have not received materials.

“In accordance with the Rules of Procedure, when calling for sessions, materials must also be sent, which we have not received for these two items, and therefore I request that they be withdrawn from the agenda,” stated Bišćević Tokić.

Alma Kratina (DF) stated that she agrees with Bišćević Tokić, but also that if some committees are to be discussed, then all should be discussed, because there are other committees that are not functioning.

Admir Čavalić (SBiH) says that the invitation stated that information would be discussed, even though it is not about information.

“We ask for the information to be provided, because we cannot discuss without it, and the information should include a tabular overview of the sessions of all working bodies. When you prepare the information on all working bodies, we can convene,” said Čavalić.

The session is chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the House, Mladen Bošković.
